Musgrove Willows run a range of courses in willow making throughout the year at our centre in Westonzoyland, Somerset

Willowcraft courses are priced from £35 and include all materials, lunch and refreshments. You will come away with something beautiful, strong, environmentally-friendly and above all, very personal to you.

Courses include:

  • Creating your own garden structures
  • Hurdle weaving
  • Making your own traditional basket
  • Weaving an animal or bird sculpture
  • Living willow structures
  • Seasonal willow crafts
  • Alternatively, a day's bird watching on the Levels with our resident bird expert

Musgrove Willows can also advise you on local accommodation for those travelling from afar.

As well as taking home your own willow creation, you can see the willow being grown and processed at first hand, taking in one of Somerset's oldest crafts. Visitors are welcome to walk through the withy fields and enjoy the amazing variety of wildlife that the Somerset Levels has to offer.

Whether you're on holiday in Somerset or simply looking for a fun and interesting craft course to do in one of the most beautiful, green parts of Britain, Musgrove Willows have the course for you.

We need 6 or more on a course to make it viable for us to run so we reserve the right to cancel/change dates as applicable. We will move students to an appropriate course with their approval. Refunds or credit notes will be given if alternative dates are unsuitable.
